Face Your Fear

Climb the Wall, Face the Fear-1

I am not, nor have I ever been, particularly fond of heights. So when I had the opportunity to climb the wall at the YMCA, I took the challenge. Guess what? I made it all the way to the top. I rang the bell and came on down. Today, I climb much higher mountains. I love it! My point is that sometimes the small triumphs to others are huge triumphs to us. So get moving, face your fear, and conquer it! What you’ll more than likely find out is that it’s not as frightening as you once thought.

Exercise: Face Your Fear

Today, I want you to confront things that are holding you back and take action toward conquering them. Here’s what you’re going to do: sit down, take a pen or pencil, and write three to five fears that are holding you back. After listing your fears, write some brief statements or phrases that will help you overcome such fears.
